The President’s Office has announced that government offices will operate from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM during Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal this year.
This working hours arrangement was first established by the President’s Office on March 6, 2022, standardizing the official hours for Ramadan and the first week of Shawwal from Hijri year 1443 onwards. The directive ensures that all government institutions follow this schedule during the holy month.
Additionally, as per President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s campaign pledge, government offices will remain closed during the last 10 days of Ramadan, allowing employees to engage in religious observances and spend time with their families.
This decision aligns with efforts to facilitate work-life balance during the holy month while maintaining essential government services.
