President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has dispatched a formal message of condolence to the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre, following the passing of His Majesty King Harald V.

The Norwegian monarch passed away at the age of 89 while receiving treatment for a rare blood disorder in a hospital. In his message, President Muizzu expressed profound sadness upon receiving the news, extending sincere sympathies on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives to the Norwegian Royal Family, the Government, and the people of Norway during this period of national mourning.
