President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has declared that the People’s National Congress (PNC) represents a resolute ideology that has secured profound public support and trust within a remarkably short duration. Speaking at a special ceremony marking the PNC’s victory in the D. Meedhoo Council election and the Hithadhoo North by-election, the President expressed his gratitude to the supporters and activists who facilitated these electoral successes.

During his address, the President highlighted that the consistent electoral victories for the PNC since its inception demonstrate the public’s deep-seated confidence in the party’s vision. He characterized the PNC’s foundation as being built upon the pillars of upholding Islamic principles, ensuring national peace and stability, and delivering tangible economic and infrastructure development for all citizens. He further stated that the results of the government’s efforts are already visible and that the administration remains steadfast in its policy implementation.

Furthermore, President Muizzu criticized the previous administration’s handling of national sovereignty, specifically regarding maritime boundaries. He alleged that significant sea territory was relinquished in violation of the Constitution and without the consent of the People’s Majlis.
