Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared India is rapidly advancing toward becoming a worldwide hub for natural farming during his address at the South India Natural Farming Summit in Coimbatore. He highlighted that agricultural exports have nearly doubled over the past 11 years, signaling a major transformation in the sector.

While releasing the 21st installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme—transferring over ₹18,000 crore to nine crore farmers—Modi expressed his personal commitment to natural farming. He shared inspiring encounters with farmers, including a mechanical engineer and a former NASA employee who have embraced agriculture, training youth and driving innovation.

Modi praised Tamil Nadu farmers for their courage and adaptability, stating that the summit offered invaluable learning experiences. He emphasized that India’s biodiversity is evolving and that youth are increasingly viewing agriculture as a modern, scalable career path, which will significantly boost the rural economy.

The Prime Minister inaugurated the South India Natural Farming Summit 2025, organized by the Tamil Nadu Natural Farming Stakeholders Forum from November 19–21. The event promotes sustainable, chemical-free farming practices and aims to accelerate the adoption of regenerative agriculture. It also focuses on creating market links for farmers and showcasing innovations in organic inputs and eco-friendly technologies, with participation from over 50,000 stakeholders across South India.

Earlier, Modi attended birth centenary celebrations of Sri Satya Sai Baba in Andhra Pradesh, where he spoke on the importance of service and compassion in devotion and action.
