The Maldives Media and Broadcasting Commission (MMBC) today called upon media outlets to report responsibly on ongoing conflicts. This appeal comes as the war involving Israel and America against Iran, which commenced on February 28th, shows no signs of abatement and is anticipated to escalate further.

In a statement released tonight, the MMBC specifically urged media organizations to adhere to the “Code of Conduct for Broadcasters, Media Personnel, and Journalism,” formulated under the Maldives Media and Broadcasting Regulation Act. The Commission emphasized the critical importance of disseminating news and information responsibly during this volatile period.
