The Milandhoo Court has released two individuals who were arrested in connection with an arson attack on a motorcycle late last month. The suspects, identified as Mohamed Zahunee, 27, and Mohamed Ihusan, 24, were apprehended after a vehicle was set on fire in the Kandufoo area near the island’s Ring Road.

While the court granted their release subject to specific conditions, the exact motive behind the act of vandalism remains unclear. The incident occurred during a period where several similar acts of property damage have been reported across the region, often attributed to personal disputes or retaliatory motives.

This case follows a separate incident in Sh. Foakaidhoo, where the motorcycle belonging to the head of the local police station was also torched. Authorities are reportedly concerned about the recurring nature of these arson attacks involving motor vehicles.
