N. Holhudhoo Health Center has officially commenced work permit medical services, marking a significant expansion of healthcare facilities in Noonu Atoll. The service was inaugurated during a special ceremony by State Minister of Health Ahmed Qasim and Deputy State Minister Ahmed Hamdan Nasir.

With this launch, Holhudhoo becomes the third island in Noonu Atoll to offer these essential medical screenings, joining Velidhoo and Manadhoo. The expansion is part of a broader initiative to decentralize health services and streamline administrative processes for expatriate workers.

Maiz Mohamed, the Senior Political Director in charge of the health center, confirmed that the medical examinations will be available every weekday. In a bid to improve efficiency, he noted that test results will be processed and issued on the same day the screening is conducted.

Given the high concentration of resorts in Noonu Atoll, the availability of these services in Holhudhoo is expected to provide substantial convenience for expatriate employees and businesses operating in the region, reducing the need for long-distance travel to secure permits.
