Ahmed Mubeen has been appointed as the Deputy Managing Director of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The appointment was officially confirmed today by the company, which also announced his inclusion in its Board of Directors.

Mubeen previously served as the Managing Director of Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL). However, he resigned from that position following the government’s decision to dissolve RACL and merge its operations under the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).

A veteran in the political sphere, Mubeen also served as the Member of Parliament for the Bilehdhoo constituency during the 18th People’s Majlis. His appointment to MTCC follows the resignation of the previous Deputy Managing Director, Ahmed Shareef Abdul Rahman Yoosuf, who stepped down last month.

The move comes at a time when the current administration is implementing significant leadership changes across various state-owned enterprises and government institutions to streamline operations and enhance performance.
