Three Victims of R. Fainu Accident Placed on Ventilator Support at IGMH
Three individuals injured in a serious accident in R. Fainu on Thursday night have been placed on ventilator support at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
The accident occurred when a speeding motorcycle lost control and struck two pedestrians. According to available information, the motorcycle was operated by two individuals – a person under 18 years of age and a student from Fainu School. The motorcycle collided with the school’s principal and a teacher who were out for their evening exercise routine.
The victims were initially treated at Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital before being transferred to Male’. IGMH has confirmed that the patients are currently receiving treatment in the ICU.
Three of the four victims, excluding the principal, are currently on ventilator support.
