India Donates 72 Vehicles to Maldives Military
India has donated 72 vehicles to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ongoing visit to the Maldives.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, who serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, accepted the symbolic key from Prime Minister Modi during the handover ceremony.
The donated fleet includes:
– 27-seater bus
– 10 pickup trucks
– 10 mini vans
– 10 vans
– 5 lorries
– 8 tractors
– 4 tipper dump trucks
– 4 backhoe loaders
– 2 cranes
– 6 mini excavators
– 5 excavators
This donation continues India’s history of vehicle assistance to the Maldives military, with several similar contributions made in the past.
