A Spanish tourist has undergone a leg amputation following a severe shark attack near GA. Kooddoo, according to local authorities. The incident, which occurred on the afternoon of April 11, 2026, has left the male visitor with life-altering injuries.

The victim was initially treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Gaafu Alif Atoll Hospital before being medically evacuated to the capital, Malé, for further specialized treatment.
