The President described his passing as a profound loss to the nation.

Beyond his administrative achievements, Farooq Ahmed was recognized as an expert contributor to Maldivian history and literature. The President concluded his message with a prayer for the deceased to be granted the highest levels of Paradise and for his family to be granted patience during this difficult time.
