Police to Tow Illegally Parked Vehicles on Boduthakurufaanu Magu

Police have announced that vehicles illegally parked on Boduthakurufaanu Magu will be towed, and owners can only retrieve their vehicles after two days.

In a statement released today, police said they have begun towing vehicles that are illegally parked and obstructing public transport and general traffic on Boduthakurufaanu Magu.

Authorities will take action against drivers who park illegally from the Hithigas Magu junction to Meheli Goalhi. Towed vehicles will only be released after a two-day holding period.

According to police, this initiative is part of ongoing efforts to organize city streets to facilitate easier movement for both vehicles and pedestrians.

“We urge special attention to parking vehicles only in designated parking zones,” the statement read.

Police have also expressed gratitude for public cooperation in their continued efforts to ensure road safety and maintain order on Male’ streets.

While announcing the towing operations on Boduthakurufaanu Magu, police noted that they had already begun towing illegally parked vehicles on Majeedhee Magu last Thursday.
