Fenaka Corporation has officially inaugurated newly developed children’s parks in N. Maalhendhoo and N. Kudafari. The facilities were unveiled during special ceremonies held in both islands, marking a significant step in local community infrastructure development.

The parks were inaugurated by the Member of Parliament for the Kendhikulhudhoo constituency, Mohamed Afoo Hamid, alongside the State Minister for Housing, Land and Urban Development, Ahmed Salim, and the Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation, Mohamed Affif Hussain. The events were attended by members of the local councils, Women’s Development Committees (WDC), and a large number of residents and children.

Awarded to Fenaka on March 29 last year, the projects were funded under the government’s Public Service Investment Program (PSIP). Fenaka’s scope of work included the complete landscaping of the sites, as well as the procurement and installation of modern play equipment.

According to the government, the development of these parks is aimed at providing a safe and joyful environment for children to play while creating pleasant spaces for families to spend quality time together. This initiative aligns with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s policy to revitalize social life across the Maldives.

The administration has set an ambitious target to complete the construction of children’s parks in all inhabited islands across the Maldives by the end of this year. Work is currently progressing at a rapid pace on various islands to meet this deadline.
