Maldives Pledges Support for Middle East Peace, Says President Muizzu

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has affirmed that the Maldives will extend its support towards bringing peace to the Middle East.

The President made these remarks during a meeting with Iran’s new Non-Resident Ambassador to the Maldives, Dr. Alireza Delkhosh, following the presentation of his credentials.

President Muizzu expressed the Maldives’ readiness to assist through international platforms in reducing tensions and establishing peace in the Middle East region.

The Iranian Ambassador praised President Muizzu’s approach to such matters and conveyed gratitude on behalf of the Iranian leadership.

During the meeting, discussions also focused on potential areas for strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.

Both parties expressed keen interest in further strengthening the brotherly ties between the two countries, enhancing economic cooperation, sharing technical expertise, and promoting people-to-people connections in the future.
