Authorities have launched an investigation into an incident at Ahmadhiyya International School where a group of individuals allegedly entered the premises and issued threats to a teacher.

According to reports, the confrontation occurred last Wednesday when a parent, who had arrived to pick up a student, became agitated. The situation escalated as the individual reportedly used offensive language. Subsequently, a group of other individuals entered the school grounds and issued further threats against a staff member.

Speaking to the media, Ahmadhiyya International School Principal Ahmed Rasheed confirmed that the matter has been officially lodged with the Maldives Police Service for investigation. While the school has taken formal action, specific details regarding the nature of the threats or the identities of those involved have not yet been disclosed.

This incident follows a similar occurrence in 2024, where an individual was apprehended for intimidating teachers in the presence of students at a school in Malé, highlighting ongoing concerns regarding school security and the safety of educators.
