The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced a search for a party to provide and manage first aid services at Kudagiri, the designated picnic island for the Malé region.

In an announcement made today, HDC stated that the opportunity to submit bids for the establishment of a first aid point is now open. Interested parties are required to submit their proposals by the deadline of July 1, 2026.

Kudagiri, which opened in 2023 to cater to the recreational needs of the capital’s residents, has become a popular destination for locals. While the island currently features a clinic, the introduction of a dedicated first aid point is intended to facilitate more rapid emergency care and enhance the overall safety of visitors.

HDC continues to work towards upgrading the facilities and services available at Kudagiri to ensure high standards for those visiting the island for leisure.
