Chinese Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call on Vice President

Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Kong Xianhua has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef.

The meeting took place this morning at the President’s Office. Ambassador Kong presented his credentials to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on the fifth of last month.

During the meeting, both officials highlighted that the close political ties between Maldives and China are built on strong foundations of friendship, mutual respect, and developmental cooperation.

The Maldives and China officially established diplomatic relations on October 14, 1972.
