A 38-year-old Bangladeshi national was hospitalized after sustaining a serious neck injury in a stabbing incident in Malé. The Maldives Police Service confirmed that they received a report regarding the assault at approximately 01:08 AM on April 17, 2026.

According to the police investigation, the victim was attacked with a sharp object while he was on Karankaa Magu. Following the incident, he was immediately transported to ADK Hospital for medical attention.

Authorities are currently investigating the motives and circumstances surrounding the attack. No arrests have been announced yet as the police continue their search for the perpetrator.
