An elderly Maldivian man has sustained severe injuries after a wall collapsed during road construction work in HA. Kelaa. The incident occurred on Monday morning during excavation activities managed by the Road Development Corporation (RDC).

Speaking to the media, Kelaa Council President Mohamed Malik stated that the incident was caused by soil instability during the digging process, which led to a six-foot-tall wall falling. The victim, who was actively involved in the project work, suffered significant trauma in the collapse.

Reports indicate that the man sustained multiple fractures, including broken ribs and a fractured femur. He was immediately transported to Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital for emergency medical care. The Council President has since confirmed that the victim is in stable condition following treatment.
