The Government of the Maldives has officially inaugurated two newly developed children’s parks in N. Henbadhoo and N. Kendhikulhudhoo, providing modern recreational spaces for local communities. These projects, funded through the Public Service Investment Program (PSIP), are part of a broader national initiative to enhance social well-being and provide safe environments for children.

The park in Henbadhoo, developed by Fenaka Corporation, was officially opened by the company’s Managing Director, Mohamed Afief Hussain, alongside State Minister for Construction and Infrastructure, Ahmed Salim, and Kendhikulhudhoo MP Mohamed Afu Hamid. The ceremony was attended by a significant number of residents and children from the island.

In Kendhikulhudhoo, the newly developed park—constructed by the Road Development Corporation (RDC)—was inaugurated by State Minister Ahmed Salim. He was joined by RDC Managing Director Ibrahim Nazeem and the constituency’s Member of Parliament. Designed with modern amenities, the park aims to offer a pleasant atmosphere for families.

These developments reflect the administration’s commitment, under the leadership of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, to strengthening the social fabric of island communities. By prioritizing the creation of high-quality public spaces, the government aims to encourage healthy lifestyles and provide families with dedicated areas for leisure and social interaction.
