The Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO) has officially appointed Yazmeed Mohamed as its new Chief Executive Officer. The appointment was confirmed for a five-year tenure, effective from August 20, 2026.
Mr. Yazmeed is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. Prior to this appointment, he held several high-profile positions, including Vice President of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), a member of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), and Audit Manager at the Auditor General’s Office.
A Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA), Mr. Yazmeed holds a First-Class Honours degree in Accounting from Oxford Brookes University. Furthermore, he earned a Master’s degree in Management from Open University Malaysia, reinforcing his academic and professional expertise in governance and financial administration.
In a statement welcoming the new lead, the Pension Office expressed confidence that Mr. Yazmeed’s leadership and expertise would drive the institution toward further growth and success during his term.
