The Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments has announced that 95 percent of the construction work for the new mosque in Th. Vandhoo has been completed.
According to the Ministry, the project is being executed by LF Construction with a total investment of approximately $630,000. Once finalized, the new facility will be able to accommodate a congregation of up to 300 worshippers at a time.
The foundation stone for this significant community infrastructure project was officially laid by the Minister of State for Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shujau Abdul Hakeem, and the President of the Vandhoo Island Council, Shiyaz Ibrahim. The Ministry indicated that the project is now in its final stages of development.
