The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has forecasted a period of inclement weather across various regions of the country over the next three days. Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is anticipated during this period.

According to the MET Office, all atolls are expected to experience some level of precipitation. While general wind speeds are projected to remain between 5 and 15 miles per hour, they may intensify significantly during squalls, reaching speeds of up to 35 miles per hour.

Although scattered showers are likely throughout the archipelago, the MET Office noted that general weather conditions may remain relatively stable between periods of rain. Residents and travelers are advised to stay informed about local weather updates and take necessary precautions during heavy wind gusts.
