Qatar Airways has announced that it will resume flight operations to the Maldives starting April 8, following a temporary suspension necessitated by regional airspace closures in the Middle East.

According to Visit Maldives, the airline is a vital contributor to the local tourism industry and will initially operate five flights per week. This resumption is expected to significantly enhance connectivity for tourists and travelers arriving from Europe, the United States, and the Middle East, strengthening the Maldives’ position as a premier global destination.

To support affected passengers, the airline has implemented flexible travel arrangements. Individuals who purchased tickets for travel scheduled up to June 15 are permitted to reschedule their dates without additional complications. The resumption of these operations is expected to provide a major solution for passengers who previously faced transit difficulties through Doha.

Despite the scheduled restart, Visit Maldives has urged travelers to confirm flight times and stay updated on the latest schedule information prior to their journey, as sudden changes may occur due to external operational factors.
