Religious scholar Asshaikh Abdul Azeez Hussain, widely known as Azeebe, has been hospitalised after suffering a stroke. He is currently receiving treatment at the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Ahmed Kumail, son of Asshaikh Abdul Azeez Hussain, confirmed the development via a social media post. Kumail stated that a nerve in his father’s brain is compressed and requested prayers from the public for his recovery.

Asshaikh Abdul Azeez Hussain is the proprietor of the Zamzam Hajj and Umrah Group, an enterprise he has managed for over 30 years. He is a well-regarded figure within the Maldivian community.
