President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended his heartfelt condolences to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of Thailand following the passing of his eldest daughter, Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati.

The Princess passed away at the age of 47 after receiving medical treatment while in a coma for an extended period. Princess Bajrakitiyabha was a distinguished figure in the Thai monarchy, being one of the few individuals eligible for the throne under the country’s constitutional framework.

In his formal message to the King, President Muizzu expressed profound sadness upon hearing the news. He particularly highlighted the Princess’s invaluable contributions to strengthening Thailand’s legal and justice systems, describing her public service as a noble sacrifice for the Thai people. The President further noted that her dedicated efforts would serve as an enduring example for future generations.

On behalf of the government and the people of the Maldives, the President extended his deepest sympathies to the Thai Royal Family, the government, and the citizens of Thailand, wishing them strength and fortitude during this period of national mourning.
