The Ministry of Housing, Land, and Urban Development has officially opened the application process for the prestigious National Engineers Award. According to an announcement by the Ministry, interested candidates and organizations are invited to submit their nominations until August 20th.

The award is designed to recognize and celebrate the exceptional contributions of Maldivian engineers to the nation’s development and the advancement of the engineering field. To ensure a comprehensive recognition of talent, the Ministry has established ten distinct award categories for this year’s edition.

Key categories for the upcoming awards include Engineer of the Year, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Young Engineer Award. Furthermore, the Ministry will present honors specifically for Women in Engineering and a Student Innovator Award to encourage the next generation of technical professionals.
