The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has officially invited interested parties to provide air ticketing services for both domestic and international travel on a deferred payment basis.

In an announcement released recently, the police service stated that the opportunity to register for this project is open until July 13th. Potential service providers are required to complete the registration process via email, following the official guidelines provided by the institution.

This procurement move is largely driven by the government’s policy to provide comprehensive medical coverage for police officers and their immediate families. This benefit includes the coverage of travel expenses for medical treatments sought abroad, which constitutes a significant portion of the department’s logistics and travel budget.

The practice of securing air travel through credit arrangements is currently standard procedure for various state institutions and government bodies in the Maldives to ensure operational efficiency and streamlined financial management.
