President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Mohamed Nizar as the President of the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), effective following the resignation of former President Mohamed Anas.
According to the board, the resignation of Mohamed Anas was officially accepted today. The PCB expressed gratitude for his services during his tenure while extending a warm welcome to Nizar as he assumes the leadership role.
This appointment marks Mohamed Nizar’s second term as the head of the PCB. He previously served in the position from 2014 to 2019, where he was instrumental in enhancing the governance frameworks and operational efficiency of state-owned enterprises (SOEs). Nizar brings over 30 years of professional experience in international business and corporate monitoring to the board.
Nizar holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Australia and has participated in numerous high-level international forums and specialized training programs focused on corporate governance and enterprise management.
