The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has appointed Mohamed Lam’aan as an executive member of the Board of Directors at Maldives Ports Limited (MPL). The appointment follows the removal of Ibrahim Ziyath from the position.
Lam’aan brings a wealth of corporate leadership experience to the role, having most recently served as the Deputy Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL). His professional background includes tenure as the Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation, as well as serving as the Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Procurement Officer at the Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO).
Throughout his career in various state-owned enterprises, Lam’aan has been credited with streamlining operations and driving organizational performance. His appointment to the MPL board is expected to bolster the company’s executive oversight and strategic management.
