The Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) has officially appointed Mohamed Ahmed as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The authority announced the appointment through a formal statement on social media, welcoming the new executive to lead the regulatory body. Mohamed Ahmed is recognized as a seasoned professional within the financial sector, bringing extensive expertise to the position.
Prior to his appointment at the CMDA, Mr. Ahmed held several key roles in prominent institutions, including the Bank of Maldives (BML), the Ministry of Finance, and Solarelle Insurance. His diverse professional background is expected to bolster the authority’s strategic objectives.
In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Ahmed holds a Master’s degree in Business from Durham University in the United Kingdom.
