Mohamed Khalid (Ben), former Chief Commissioner of the Scout Association of Maldives, has passed away today.
Mr Khalid, widely recognised for his extensive contributions to the Maldivian scout movement, died this morning while receiving treatment at IGM Hospital for deteriorating health.
A Legacy of Service
Mr Khalid played a pivotal role in introducing, expanding, and advancing various scouting activities across the Maldives. He dedicated his life to the scout movement, significantly contributing to the development of youth and children within the scouting domain.
In a statement released following his demise, the Scout Association of Maldives acknowledged Mr Khalid’s invaluable services to the scouting movement, noting that his passing leaves an “irreparable void.” The association also extended its heartfelt condolences to his family.
