Maldivian, the national flag carrier, has officially refuted reports circulating on social media regarding the alleged introduction of alcohol sales on its domestic and international flights. The airline dismissed the rumors as baseless fabrications intended to damage the company’s reputation.

In a formal statement released on Monday, the airline clarified that it has no plans or intentions to introduce “all-inclusive” packages featuring alcoholic beverages. Maldivian emphasized that such reports lack any factual foundation and do not reflect the airline’s current or future operational policies.

The carrier further noted that Maldivian law strictly prohibits the sale and consumption of alcohol on inhabited islands and within public transportation vessels commonly used by citizens. The airline urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information that could lead to public concern or erode trust in the national carrier.

Maldivian reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining transparency, stating that all policy changes and service updates will continue to be communicated exclusively through its official corporate channels.
