The Maldives Pension Office has initiated a search for a new Chairperson for its Board, following the resignation of the previous incumbent, Ahmed Inaaz, at the beginning of this month. Applications for the vacant position will be accepted until the 16th of this month.

Mr Inaaz’s resignation at the start of the current month left the crucial board role unfilled, with no immediate successor appointed to date. The Pension Office issued an official announcement today, outlining the application procedure and deadline.

As part of the selection process, the Pension Office will shortlist three candidates from the applications received. The Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) will subsequently verify the eligibility of these shortlisted individuals against the stipulated criteria. The final appointment of the Chairperson to the Pension Office Board is made by the President of the Republic.
