KULHUDHUFFUSHI CITY, Maldives – A new regional office for Maldives Immigration services was officially inaugurated today in Kulhudhuffushi City. The facility has been established with the aim of strengthening immigration services and enhancing operational capabilities in the northern region.

The inauguration ceremony, which took place this morning, was officiated by Deputy Controller Ahmed Ashfaan.

Operational Enhancements and Public Access

Maldives Immigration stated that the establishment of the new office is expected to provide a permanent resolution to the existing space constraints faced by officers, thereby improving their overall working environment. Furthermore, the organisation anticipates that the new facility will offer increased convenience and accessibility for residents in the region seeking immigration-related services.

Kulhudhuffushi City is recognised as the most populous island in the northern Atolls, and it accommodates a substantial expatriate community. The city also currently provides passport issuance services to its residents.
