The Maldives Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially condemned the ballistic missile attacks launched by Iran against Saudi Arabia, following a significant escalation in regional tensions.

The conflict intensified after the United States dissolved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at halting hostilities, subsequently resuming military actions against Iran last Saturday. In response, Iranian forces have targeted U.S. military installations situated within Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations.

In a statement released this evening, the Foreign Ministry described the attacks as a grave violation of national independence and sovereignty. The Ministry reaffirmed the Maldives’ steadfast solidarity with Saudi Arabia, pledging support for the Kingdom’s efforts to uphold its territorial integrity.

The Maldives government further called for the maintenance of regional stability, urging all involved parties to prioritize diplomacy and peaceful dialogue to resolve the ongoing crisis.
