FUKUOKA, Japan — Food company and mentaiko producer Yamaya Communications is plotting an aggressive expansion of its domestic and international restaurant business, with its sights specifically set on India.
The company plans to boost its global footprint of tempura shops and other dining establishments by 60%, aiming to operate 100 eateries both in Japan and abroad by 2030. Meanwhile, at the local level, the operator’s Yamaya Sohonten Zen location in Fukuoka has recently started serving a traditional Japanese-style breakfast to patrons, as captured in recent photos by Fumika Nakashima.
