President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that the newly established “Citizens Complaints Bureau” at the President’s Office is scheduled to begin operations before July 26. The bureau is designed to provide 24-hour service to address public concerns and grievances.
Speaking on Public Service Media’s (PSM) debut “Nation Chat” program, President Muizzu stated that administrative preparations for the bureau are progressing rapidly. He emphasized that the facility will serve as a centralized hub to streamline the resolution of complaints within the government framework.
The bureau will utilize an advanced digital management system integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to efficiently process submissions, coordinate with relevant state agencies, and provide timely responses to the public. This initiative will also include a dedicated 24-hour call center to ensure consistent accessibility.
To lead these efforts, Dr. Mohamed Mahid Shareef was appointed as the head of the Citizens Complaints Bureau last week. The administration aims for the system to significantly improve government transparency and responsiveness.
