This assessment of Beijing’s strategy comes from Sze-Fung Lee, an independent analyst whose work centers on Chinese hybrid warfare as an integrated cross-domain system. Lee’s expertise specifically focuses on cognitive warfare, gray-zone operations, and Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI).

Against the backdrop of these foreign influence concerns, domestic political tensions remain highly visible in Tokyo.
