Dr. Khalilur Rahman, the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, has arrived in the Maldives to participate in the nation’s 61st Independence Day celebrations as a special guest. The visit follows an official invitation extended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
During a meeting held at the President’s Office today, both leaders engaged in high-level discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations. According to the President’s Office, the dialogue emphasized enhancing multilateral cooperation, expanding educational opportunities, and fostering closer people-to-people ties between the two nations.
The session concluded with both parties reaffirming the long-standing friendship between the Maldives and Bangladesh. Both President Muizzu and Minister Rahman expressed their readiness to explore new avenues of collaboration that would yield mutual socio-economic benefits for both countries.
