Hussain Didi has been removed from his position as the Managing Director of the state-owned Agro National Corporation Limited (AgroNet).

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced the decision through a post on X, confirming that Didi has been dismissed from both the Managing Director role and his seat on the company’s board of directors, effective today. The board did not disclose a specific reason for his termination.

This removal coincides with several other high-profile personnel changes within state institutions. Earlier today, the government also dismissed Major (Retired) Mohamed Najah from his role as the Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation.

In addition to the changes in state-owned enterprises, Mohamed Hussain Shareef, the Maldivian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, was also removed from his diplomatic post today. These developments suggest a broader reshuffling of leadership positions within the current administration.
