ADDU CITY – An ambulance dispatched to attend to a serious two-motorcycle collision in Hithadhoo, Addu City, which left four individuals injured, was itself involved in a separate accident last night, according to police reports.

Initial Motorcycle Collision

The primary incident, a collision involving two motorcycles, occurred at approximately 21:40 on Tuesday at the junction of Daisy Magu and Eley Didi Magu in Hithadhoo. Police confirmed that four individuals on the motorcycles sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. Authorities also noted that the individuals involved in this accident did not possess valid driving licences for motorcycles.

Ambulance Incident

Following the initial accident, an ambulance en route to the scene was involved in a collision with a car. Police reported that no injuries were sustained in this secondary incident. The car involved in the collision with the ambulance was later towed by police.

Police Investigation

The Maldives Police Service has stated that investigations into both accidents are ongoing.
