Special Road Safety Awareness Campaign Launches in Hulhumalé

Police have initiated special activities in Hulhumalé to raise public awareness about road safety and security.

According to police, the ongoing campaign began on the 16th of this month in Hulhumalé Phase 1 and continued today in Phase 2.

As part of the campaign conducted by Hulhumalé Community Police, officers are deployed across various streets during morning office and school commute hours, as well as throughout different times of the day, to deliver safety messages to the public.

The campaign includes demonstrations of accident scenarios to emphasize the importance of safe driving and remind people that life is more valuable than anything else. Police are encouraging drivers to be mindful of both their own safety and that of others.

Additionally, police are using loudspeakers to promote slower driving speeds and reinforce the message about the value of human life. Officials report that the campaign has been receiving significant public cooperation and attention.
