Former US President Bill Clinton has been admitted to Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C., following the development of a fever. The news was confirmed by Clinton’s spokesman, Angel Ureña, who stated that the former president is in good spirits and is receiving excellent medical care.

The 78-year-old former president was hospitalized on Monday evening for observation and tests. Although the exact cause of the fever has not been disclosed, sources close to Clinton have assured that the situation is not critical and that he is expected to make a full recovery. Reports indicate that Clinton remains awake, alert, and responsive.

This hospitalization adds to Clinton’s history of health concerns. In 2021, he was admitted to a hospital in California for six days due to a blood infection. He has also faced significant heart issues in the past, including a quadruple bypass surgery in 2004 and the opening of a clogged artery in 2010. Following these incidents, Clinton made significant lifestyle changes, including adopting a vegan diet, which he credited for improving his health.

Clinton, the 42nd president of the United States, served two terms from 1993 to 2001. Despite his health challenges, he remains active in public life, most recently supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign and releasing his book, Citizen: My Life After the White House.
