President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed deep regret and promised swift action after a citizen reported being denied entry to mosques due to using a wheelchair. The concern was raised during the "Rayyithunge Adu" (Voice of the People) program, a series designed for direct public engagement with the President.

The individual shared their personal struggle, explaining that they have been forced to perform their prayers at home since being turned away from religious sites. The citizen noted that despite using a wheelchair equipped with an assistive device, they were told that entry was not permitted.

In response, President Muizzu assured the public that the administration is committed to resolving accessibility barriers faced by the disabled community. He emphasized that work is already underway to ensure that public infrastructure, including places of worship, is designed to be inclusive and accessible for everyone.
